So far we had some great tribute albums in the past, but unfortunately too few to mention in the viking and folk metal scene. I've always been interested in legendary bands being covered by young and talented musicians and in my opinion it's a great opportunity to participate on such tribute. We already had a Graveland Tribute, Falkenbach, Windir, Bathory and now there are plans for a Summoning Tribute.
Mention some tribute albums you would like to see released...
- Bathory (a tribute with only the Viking album tracks)
- Summoning

Hmm... what can people tell me about the Falkenbach-tribute? I've always loved Falkenbach but tributes can be a different matter. I've heard the Folkearth cover but I wasn't extremly impressed. So is the entire album (a double if I remember correctly) any good - is it worth buying?

The Windir and Graveland ones were well-deserved. I remember seeing a tribute to Venom CD that had a Skyclad track on it, which I found quite cool.
I'd like to see a tribute to Ulver, in reference their their folk/black/acoustic material.

Summoning would be interesting, though I think it's difficult to compete with the beauty of the original.
Ensiferum, I think would make for a fantastic tribute project.
